![]() ![]() I mostly recommend the v1.0.0.03 (rolling release), as includes the latest ROMs, improvements, bugfixes, and so on, also it's the same version that it's used in the retroarch. Curious how you build/fix/update this set in Rollo I find that this ROM set still works for the last stable v1.0.0.2 (at least for the games I play), but do you recommend the rolling v1.0.0.3 instead?Īlso, I tried to pick off dmnfrnt.zip from the latest 0.261 non-merged set at PleasureDome, but that didn't work for v1.0.0.2. I can already imagine how time-consuming the upkeep is for ROM sets like these, so thanks again for all your contribution to the emulation community. Maintaining 2 emulators is way more manageable than maintaining hundreds of ROMs. A frontend like LaunchBox comes very handy to set which default emulator to use for specific ROMs that don't work with v1.0.0.2 ( e.g. :)įor those who also prefer set-and-forget (and save some sanity), I found using FBNeo (primary) and ARCADE64 (secondary) is a reasonable way to do it. I also don't need every single ROM that I'll never play, so that lowers maintenance efforts in my collection by a huge margin. ![]() So far, all the games I actually wanted to play work great with v1.0.0.2, so waiting for the next milestone release is no big deal. I'm as tech-savvy as it goes (programmer), but even so can't be bothered to learn the nuances of the MAME ROM set.
